Why use industrial fans & blowers?

The Philippines is a tropical rain country thus people living here experience hot and humid weather throughout the year. This type of weather may not be conducive in the work place. Air-conditioning is a solution but may be too expensive for some. With fans and blowers, the dynamics of exhausting hot, polluted air and supplying cooler, fresher air can be achieved at a cheaper cost. Good and proper ventilation creates a safe and comfortable environment for everyone which ensures productivity, effectivity, and efficiency in the work place.

What is Inches of W.G.?

Inches of W.G. (water gauge) is a British/English form of measurement for static pressure. In a fan, inches of W.G. refers to the resistance to airflow or friction caused by moving air through a pipe, duct, hose, filter, hood slots, air control dampers or louvers. A Pitot Tube or Airflow Meter Kit is used to measure the fan's actual inches of W.G. Like measuring CFM, measuring inches of W.G. is taken when the fan is on its highest speed. The fan is connected to a round duct with a damper at the end of it, and a pitot tube inserted through a small hole in the duct connected to a U-tube water gauge determining the static pressure.

What is CFM?

CFM stands for cubic feet per minute. It is a British/English form of measurement for volume flow. In a fan, CFM refers to as airflow or how much air a fan moves. A testing instrument called Velometer/Anemometer or Airflow Meter Kit is used to measure the fan's actual CFM. The measurement is taken when the fan is on its highest speed and uses both the volume of air and the rate at which it moves. The CFM depends on the following parameters: type of fan, size of fan and wheel diameter, the blade pitch, the fan's motor. The greater the CFM, the more air a fan will move

Why choose TORK industrial fans & blowers?

With three (3) decades of experience in the industry of designing and manufacturing industrial fans and blowers, TORK Philippines, Inc. (TPI) is market proven and one of the best in the country. TPI offers a wide variety of ventilation products which are tailored suit for different applications and customer needs. Being a company that is customer driven, TPI also offers preventive maintenance, corrective repairs and overhauls of industrial fans and blowers supplied to customers so as to maintain the fan's high efficiency and good running condition.

How to select a fan?

In selecting a fan, the following data are required:

1.

Fan Application

Will the fan be used for kitchen exhaust, for supply fresh air or for what other applications?

2.

Air Flow Rate

Usually in CFM

(cubic feet per minute)

3.

Static Pressure

Usually in inches of W.G.

(water gauge)

4.

Motor Phase

Either in three (3) phase or single (1) phase
